About Me

Hi, I’m Elise! I’m currently an engineering student with a unique journey that has shaped my perspective and passion for problem-solving. Before diving into the world of engineering, I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, driven by a desire to understand people and help them improve their lives. While I originally planned to become a therapist, I discovered along the way that my true passion lay in creating innovative solutions in other ways.

My Journey

My transition from psychology to engineering was fueled by a desire to merge my understanding of human behavior with technical expertise. Psychology taught me valuable skills, such as analytical thinking, empathy, and a deep appreciation for the human experience. These qualities now enhance my engineering work, where I approach every project with both a user-focused mindset and a strong commitment to precision and innovation.

I’m currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering and gaining hands-on experience through my coursework while actively pursuing internships.

Why Engineering?

Switching to engineering felt like the perfect way to blend my curiosity about how things work with my desire to create. Whether it’s designing a system, improving efficiency, or crafting a product that solves a problem, engineering allows me to make tangible contributions to the world.

Beyond Engineering

When I’m not studying or working on projects, I love immersing myself in a good book or playing the piano. I’m passionate about staying curious and adventurous, whether that means learning something new, traveling to unfamiliar places, or finding joy in the small, everyday moments.

I also enjoy spending time with friends and family, sharing laughs, and building meaningful connections. Life outside the classroom is all about balance for me—embracing creativity, working hard, and making time for the things that bring me happiness.
